Notebook Design
Pink Elephant Communications are a Glasgow based company, offering media, presentation, and communication skills training.
They approached me in 2020, with a request to create branded notebooks with a unique illustration, for their tutors and participants to use in training sessions.
The brief
The client asked for a bespoke elephant illustration to link to their commercial branding, designed onto spiral bound and lined A5 notebooks.
I created a range of illustrative styles and design options, some closer in style to Pink Elephant’s logo, and others with more detail or realistic features. I have to pinch myself sometimes at how fun my job can be!
The final piece
After consideration of the styles and design options, the client chose a more realistic elephant illustration, in their striking brand colour, in a wrap-around style across the notebook. The illustrated handheld microphone on the front page gives a nod to the type of work Pink Elephant do and adds a little humour to the piece too.
I was also able to offer the client personalised options for the inner pages of the notebooks, and after consideration of different routes, we agreed on the addition of their logo in a grey tone to the top corner of each left hand page.
