Salmon Scotland
Marketing material design

Salmon Scotland represent all organisations farming salmon in Scotland, aiming to grow the sector, championing sustainability, and creating a trusted and well understood regulatory framework.

The company approached me to design a number of marketing materials for them, including assets for their presentations at COP26 (Conference of Parties) in Glasgow in November 2021.

Saying more with less; designing infographics and leaflets

Salmon Scotland’s priority for this project was to convey a lot of information in an easily digestible and interesting way; both for circulation at COP26 and in the French markets.  The company sent me a range of facts and figures, and we discussed potential approaches for how best to present these in a concise manner.

The final infographics and leaflets were consistent in their colour scheme - influenced by Scotland and salmon of course! - the use of the company’s logo, and inclusion of inspirational salmon related pictures and Scottish landscape imagery.  These were the first marketing materials created using Salmon Scotland’s new brand identity (designed by Shetland agency Art Machine); an exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping new assets and developing the updated look and feel for the brand.

Pop Up Banner Design

For the presentations at COP26, it was important for Salmon Scotland to have eye-catching and bold marketing materials to support their messaging and engage with their audience.  I designed eight pop up banners, to communicate a range of messages.

The company had an existing library of brilliant photography assets, featuring strong characters and beautiful Scottish landscapes.  I used these as a basis to build a consistent but distinct set of assets that would complement each other, while emphasising clearly the different aspects of the organisation’s work.

Once the banners were complete and signed-off, I liaised with the printer supplier on final specifications and production, and arranged delivery to Salmon Scotland’s offices.  I can offer this full end-to-end service for all of my clients; just let me know your needs!

“We were delighted with the work Graeme did for us which included promotional material, infographics and print work. He came up with great ideas, delivered the work really quickly and was a pleasure to work with.”
